    1. General

      1. How can I subscribe to Smart Access? There are two ways to subscribe to Smart Access is by creating an account at http://www.play-anywhere.com , and by creating a free account on the mobile device.

      2. I am asked for validation code, where can I get one? In order to get a validation code you have to upgrade your phone with Smart Access on your Smart Access account. You can do that by going to My Account and clicking on the 'Add Phone' button.

      3. How do I add songs to my inventory? Install Smart Access and iTunes on your computer. Once Smart Access is installed and logged in, all the songs you have in your iTunes will be added to your inventory and every song that will be added to iTunes will be added to your inventory automatically.

      4. How do I edit my inventory? There are two options:

        1. Using iTunes on your PC, while Smart Access convey the actions to your Inventory. This can be used to:
          • Edit playlists
          • Create playlists and populate them
        2. Using the Smart Access application on your mobile phone.This can be used to:
          • Edit playlists
          • Create playlists and populate them
          • Add songs to Quicklist and making a playlist out of it
          • Rating songs

      5. What music file formats are supported? All formats supported by iTunes.

      6. How can I synchronize inventory changes that were made from different device? Go to Home screen using the icon on the top bar, go to Options > Sync.

      7. Are there any inventory modification rules? Yes. The Inventory in the application you're working with should be synchronized before making changes. For example:

        1. you added a playlist "New" on device A, the playlist was created
        2. you added a playlist "Like" on device B before refreshing the inventory, change will be rejected This happens because the inventory in the application was not updated with the latest changes.

      8. How do I get my application to have music in it? Smart Access allows access to all your music collection from anywhere in the world via your mobile handset or web. In order to see all your music, you have to first register to Smart Access through http://www.play-anywhere.com and download Smart Access from the link sent to in your registration email or from the site. This will register all the tracks you have in your iTunes.

      9. How do I set how much memory the app can use? Go to Home screen using the icon on the top bar, then go to Settings > Cache Resources and select the setting you want.

      10. What can I do while the mobile device is offline? You can:

        1. Play all songs that are marked with a pin icon (cached songs).
        2. Create new playlists and add songs to them.
        3. Rate songs.

      11. How the application returns to online mode? Automatically. If the application does not return to online mode, close it and open a browser to see if you really have a connection. If you managed to get to google for example, than you have an active connection and you can open the application and see if it returned to online mode. If the application is still in offline mode, please contact help desk.

      12. How can I change application's theme? Go to Settings > Themes and select the theme you want.

      13. How can I change application's language? Go to Settings > Languages and select the language you want.

      14. What languages are supported on the Smart Access mobile applications? English, Russian, French, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese, Arabic and Korean.

      15. Can I create a playlist with foreign language? Yes.

      16. How can I create a playlists from Music Anywhere in my account? Below the Playlist box there are two buttons: + and -. Click on the + button to create a new playlist and on the – to delete the selected playlist.

      17. I reinstalled the application on the device, how can I get a new validation code? Go to http://www.play-anywhere.com and log in with your account. Select 'My Account' then select the device you want to get activation code for. Then click the 'Change Phone' button.

      18. The application is not responding, what can I do? Try to close the application and reopen it, or contact help desk if that doesn't help.

      19. What platforms are supported by Smart Access? iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Web

      20. On mobile applications, can I use 3G or only WiFi? You can use 3G or WiFi.

      21. How much data does BBMC use? The first time a use play a songs the song is streamed from the server and the rate is about 1MB/min. this will translate to 60MB/hour and about 16 hours per 1GB of data. All songs that were played are cached in the device so the bandwidth consumed while played from this point on is minimal.

      22. What rate does BBMC stream at? The default rate that music is streamed at, is 128kb/sec, in case of a slow link the client will request a lower bit rate (64kb/sec).

    2. Navigation and Play

      1. Can I play all songs in a certain Genre? Yes. Go to the folder of the genre you want to play and play a song

      2. Can I play all songs in a certain Artist? Yes. Go to the folder of the artist you want to play,

      3. Can I search for a song in my inventory? Click on Options > Search.

      4. How can I change play mode to Shuffle/Linear? Go to Settings; turn on or off the Shuffle switch.

      5. How can I change play mode to Repeat? Go to Settings; turn on or off the Loop switch.

      6. How do I know if a song is cached? Every cached song is marked by a red pin icon.

      7. Why can't I see the album cover of the song I'm playing? The song was registered as a private song; Private songs have no album covers. Reasons for a song to be registered as private:

        1. The song was not identified as a public song, using the song's fingerprint.
        2. 2. The song is some kind of a remix.

      8. Why a song is not playing?

        1. The application is in offline mode, and the song is not cached.
        2. The internet connection is too slow.

      9. What do the different pin icons mean?

        • Red – a song that was cached
        • Green – a songs that was locked in client

    3. Editing my inventory from my PC

      1. How do I add a new playlist from Smart Access? Enter iTune create a playlist, then add songs to that list. Every playlist created from iTunes will be added to your inventory.

      2. How do I add a song to a playlist? Add a song to the playlist in iTunes, this will update the server, and will add the song to the playlist in your inventory.

      3. Is it possible to have different Smart Access users on the same computer? Yes. Every Windows/Mac account can have a Smart Access logged in with a different Smart Access user.

      4. Can I delete songs from my Inventory? No. There is no option to delete song from inventory.

    4. Editing my inventory using my mobile device

      1. How do I add a song to a playlist? There is more than one way:

        1. When in a songs folder, such as Songs, Album, Playlist etc. click on Options> Add to Playlist. Check the checkbox to the left of the song you want to add to a playlist, select OK.
        2. When in the Now Playing screen, click on Options> Add To Playlist. Choose the name of the playlist you to add the songs to or select New Playlist.

      2. How do I add a group of songs to a playlist on device? When in a songs folder, such as Songs, Album, Playlist etc. click on Options> Add to Playlist. Check every checkbox on the left of the songs you want to add to a playlist. When you're done selecting songs, select OK. Choose the name of the playlist you to add the songs to or select New Playlist.

      3. How do I save a song on the device? In order to save the current playing song, click on Lock in the Options menu from the Now Playing screen. A locked song will have a green pin icon.

      4. How do I rate a song? To rate the current playing song, you have two ways:

        1. Click on the heart icon located on the left bottom side of the Now Playing screen.
        2. Select a rate from the Options> Rate menu when the Now Playing screen is open
        To rate any song, go inside a folder that contains a list of songs, like: album or playlist. Select rate from the Options> Rate menu, and check all the songs you want to give the selected rate to.

    5. Saving and caching songs

      1. What is the different between locked and cached songs? Every time a song is played, it is automatically cached. When there is no more memory to cache songs (to change the size of memory resources, go to Settings> Cache Resources and change the setting), the app will automatically and silently remove from memory a song that was previously cached on FIFO (First In First Out) basis. There is an option to tell the app to not silently remove a cached song, by Locking it. Saved songs will never be removed silently. When there is no more Memory to save a song, the app will give you the option to delete a locked song. Every song you lock you can also release.

      2. How do I save or release a song? When playing the song, go to Now Playing Screen and select Options>Release. You can also select Options>Release while navigating a songs folder such as: Playlists, Songs etc. here you can release 1 or more songs, by checking the checkbox of every song you want to release, and than selecting OK.

      3. Can I save a song? When playing the song, go to Now Playing Screen and select Options>Lock. You can also select Options>Lock while navigating a songs folder such as: Playlitst,Songs etc. here you can lock one or more songs, by checking the checkbox of every song you want to lock, and than selecting OK.

    6. Sharing and inviting friends

      1. How can I invite a friend to subscribe? Click on Options> Invite, you can select to add from phonebook, phone number or email. How can I share a song with a friend? When playing a song, go to the Now Playing screen, click on Options>Share.

    7. Smart Access

      1. I want to reinstall Smart Access, what do I do? Go to the portal choose your OS (Operating System) and click on the "Send me a link" button. The link will be sent to the email address you entered when you created the Smart Access account. Download Smart Access the link and Install or replace Smart Access.

      2. How do I start working with Smart Access? Once your Smart Access is installed, you must login with your MyMusicAnywhere username and password In order for it to work. Every action you will make on iTunes such as: create playlist, add songs to playlist, add songs to iTunes, etc. will be add to your MyMusicAnywhere inventory.

      3. What do I need in order to work with Smart Access? In order to work with Smart Access you'll need to have iTunes installed on your computer and an active internet connection .To start working with Smart Access, install it from the link in the verification email sent to the email address you entered when you created your MyMusicAnywhere account.

      4. Does Smart Access support foreign languages? Yes, it does. You can create playlists with foreign names and add songs with foreign title, artist and or album. In case of a song with details in foreign language, the details will sometimes be translated to English. This will happen when the song is known internationally.

      5. Why some of my songs do not get registered? There are some reasons for a song to not get registered:

        1. The song is DRM, bought in iTunes store for example (since it has right only for local machine).
        2. The song has no digital rights.
        3. The song is private; you need to wait until it will get uploaded to the Digital Locker and then refresh you inventory.
        4. If all the above options are irrelevant, check that Smart Access is running and that the computer is connected to the internet.

      6. I created a playlists, but I don't see it in my inventory, why is that? Make sure your device is online and try to refresh you inventory. If that doesn't help, check that Smart Access is running and that the computer is connected to the internet.

      7. Why did changes I made in iTunes not show in my inventory? Make sure your device is online and try to refresh you inventory. If that doesn't help, check that Smart Access is running and that the computer is connected to the internet.

      8. Can I add songs in foreign languages to my inventory? Yes. But they are likely to be registered as private media.

    8. Subscription issues

      1. How can I unsubscribe? Login to your account and go to "My Account" section on top of the page. Hit "Unsubscribe" link and your account will be cancelled within 12 hours.
